Group Visits

The farm is becoming increasingly popular for primary and nursery school visits. The day is tailored to the individual school’s needs, with guides, worksheets and information points. We encourage the children to climb in with the smaller animals, stroke the slightly larger ones and see the very large animals at close quarters. A ride around the farm on our small trailer is included in the pre-booked groups on school days. Many of the facilities (including picnic areas) are under cover.

Nursery classes and playgrounds are given a free session in the large play barn during term time so that wet days are not a problem.

Weekend and holiday groups such as cubs, brownies and mother and toddler groups don’t have guides although the farm staff will always be on hand should they need any help.
